Why Real Estate in Blue Ridge Mountains

My Purpose in Real Estate

Why did I move from Southern California to the North Georgia Mountains?  It's a question I am frequently asked.  In California, working for Heritage Homes in a fast paced Real Estate environment, there was opportunity everywhere. People were on waiting lists for homes that sold faster than they could be built.  Although I loved my real estate career and was captivated by the beauty of California, I longed to return to the South.   Although my mom and I talked several times a week,  I missed her. Being separated from her  made me realize what is important in life: family and love. My husband and I made the decision to sell as much as possible and start over in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Moving from  known to unknown was scary. That was five years ago.  I am happy with the decision we made.  I see my mom at least once a week, and am involved in her life. My husband loves the simplicity of life in the mountains. Selling real estate in the Blue Ridge Mountains has given me the opportunity to share with other families the dream of coming to an area where the pace is slower and family ties are strengthened. Helping clients fulfill their dreams to enjoy the time spent with those they love is immensely rewarding. The  mountains are a magical place, and, if you listen, they have much to tell you.

Spring has Sprung in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Changes in the Wind

Shops in town are gearing up for the new season and the Real Estate business is coming to life earlier than usual.  Contracts are being written on listings before clients can get a second look.  Prices appear to have bottomed out and potential buyers are taking notice of the good deals that are available. Lending is strong and the sellers are motivated and willing.  The first time home credit has been extended and the rates remain low.  The S&P/Case-Schiller Home Price Index reported that there was an increase of   0.3% between November and December.   This indicates that we are on an upward trend in the real estate market.

Spring has Sprung in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Spring

The energy and new life of Spring is awakening in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  The first signs of it are evidenced by the the blooms on the Red Buds, the emergence of jonquils and daffodils, a robin's egg sky and the hearkening whistle of the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway.  Plant, flower, animal-all are coming to life as the winter fades away and the warmth of the sun quickens sprout and seed.
